Storyline Church, located in Arvada, CO, approached us to rebrand their church and make meaningful updates to the design of their building in order to better communicate their mission and values.

The resulting brand identity and environmental design combines clean lines, sophisticated colors, natural texture and a warm and inviting personality that welcomes both members and guests of the church.

We wanted to compliment the polished concrete floors, neutral walls and wood accents of the building. The addition of dimensional room identification, as well as mission-oriented signage helped tie the new brand in with the existing space.

In support of the new logo, we created a series of icons identifying the 5 core values of the church. The icon style is fitting with the logo mark and typeface, with clean lines and slightly rounded corners to maintain an approachable, inviting look.

The client asked for dedicated space in the lobby to serve as a Resource Center. This area needed to house display space for books and merchandise, but also closed storage for back stock items and lost and found.

We created this custom pegboard shelving wall with a countertop and cabinets below, and anchored the space with an oversized dimensional logo. The Resource Center is now a core meeting place for staff, volunteers an congregants before and after service.

The client also needed a highly visible area for the kids programming check-in. We set out to make this section of the lobby feel exciting to kids and parents, but still fit within the style of the building.

Bright pops of orange help identify the two entrances to the kids hallway. Dimensional signage and a custom light fixture point new families to the check-in desk. And finally, layers of painted mountains, vinyl topographic map lines and a zig-zagging dashed trail create a playful energy that continues throughout the kids space.
