Red Rocks Church hired us to make meaningful updates to their Arvada location Kids space, taking themes from other locations and reimagining them on a smaller scale. Unlike the other, more industrial style church locations, at Red Rocks Arvada, we had to navigate low ceilings, narrow corridors and tight corners. This created a challenge in choosing color, patterns, and materials. The objective was to update and brighten the space while aligning with the design style of other Red Rocks Church locations.
Custom check in stations and a resource center were designed to give these pieces prominence in the lobby while being functional for families. We do our best to ensure the design helps to hide cables and power supply for a clean look. We added a pop of color with accent lighting and applied vinyl graphics to each station in support of the outdoor industrial theme present throughout the kids space.
Throughout the small corridors, we infused design on the walls with low contrast pattern and strategically placed dimensional elements. In order to create balance among the pops of color, we made sure to keep many of the walls bright and neutral, with high-contrast room signage.
